Description

An artsy mix of electric pink and green, this PAUA (abalone) shell necklace is hand knotted using supple eco-kangaroo leather. The necklace is a statement piece, with electric hues of pink, green and blue, and is very lightweight and comfortable to wear. The closure is also made of PAUA shells and can be adjusted to a shorter length by either making a few extra knots or pulling the shell's closure through and looping once to make a knot.

PAUA is the MAORI name given to the mollusk blackfoot abalone, Haliotis Iris. These stunning shells are sustainably harvested off the South Island of New Zealand.
To the Maoris, these treasures are gifted from the Gods of the sea, and have adorned their tribal art for hundreds of years. The Paua shells represent water, and it is water that will help tame the flame. The healing properties carry energies to offer protection and emotional balance to the bearer.
